Help me set up Data Table, a shared table app like Airtable, as my own. 1. If this is the Template and not my own copy, copy it into my Charming account. If my copy isn't claimed yet, help me claim it so I own it. 2. Ask me three questions, one at a time: what I want to track (for example a content calendar, a product launch, a hiring pipeline, or an inventory); which columns I need, and which should be single selects with fixed options; and who on my team should have access. 3. Tailor the base. Read it with getBase. Rename it with renameBase. Add or rename tables with addTable and renameTable. Shape columns with addField and updateField (types: text, number, select, date, checkbox, attachment, link). Add a kanban view stacked by my main status field with saveView. 4. If I have existing data, ask me to paste it or share a CSV, then load it with addRecordsByName. Remove sample tables I don't need with deleteTable, or call resetBase with mode "empty" to start clean. 5. Share the app with the teammates I named, then tell me what you changed and how to switch between grid and kanban views.
What it does
A base of linked tables that works like a spreadsheet but knows what each column holds. Fields can be text, numbers, dates, checkboxes, single selects with colored pills, file attachments, or links to records in another table.
- Edit cells in place, or open any row as a record card
- Save views per table: a grid with filter, sort, and group, or a kanban board stacked by any single select
- Import a CSV as a new table or into an existing one, and export any view as CSV
- Share the base with teammates and see each other's edits live
Who it's for
Small teams that run work out of a spreadsheet and want structure without paying per seat: content calendars, launch trackers, hiring pipelines, vendor lists, inventories.
What you need
Nothing to set up. Your copy opens with a sample content calendar (Content, Campaigns, and Team tables) that uses every field type. Clear it from the base menu when you're ready, or ask your agent to rebuild the tables around your own data.
